About Us

River of Mischief was born out of a deep love for beautiful scraps - those too-pretty-to-throw-away offcuts left over from years of garment construction. Hayley (that's me!) couldn't bring herself to bin them, so instead, I started stitching them back together, giving them a new life as bright, joy-sparking crossbody bags.

As a Mum of three, I needed something to sling over my shoulder - something that could wrangle all the bits and pieces while my hands were busy. The result? A compact, cheerful little bag that does just that.

Every bag is made in my sunny Nelson Studio. I patchwork the scraps into a fresh piece of fabric, quilt it, and craft it into a one-of-a-kind crossbody bag. With a background in fashion design (think wedding gowns and baby carriers!), I've got a thing for detail and durability-so you can expect each bag to be made with serious care.

They are colorful, functional, and full of mischief-just the way I like it.
